The latest image is the current view from the skycam. It is continually updated. Sometimes the view clashes with an update meaning the image may not be available at that instance.

A keogram is a plot taking a single vertical line of each image over time and putting them side-by-side. The horizontal access is time. It shows the conditions over time. For example at night, all black shows there has been no cloud, whereas white streaks are when cloud has passed through the vertical line or the moon.
Star trails show the earth's rotation. Long exposures are sticked together showing a star's path over the night. Sometimes this does not work so well when there is cloud around.
